Chelsea will demand £100m from Real Madrid if Belgian star decides to leave in the summer and Callum Hudson-Odoi

The 28-year-old has been linked with a Bernabeu move for years and has made no secret of his desire to play for the Spanish giants

Chelsea will apparently demand upwards of £100million to sell Eden Hazard this summer. And so they bloody should.

The Belgium star is out of contract in 18 months time and, according to The Telegraph, we are reaching the point where all parties want the matter settled. Apparently, Hazard wants a decision from Real Madrid by the end of this month whether they intend to bring him to the Bernabeu before next season.

It is claimed Hazard, who has had a hand in 22 goals in 27 games for Chelsea this season [12 goals, 10 assists], will have a clearer idea of where his future lies at the end of January.

The Belgian star will only have a year left on his contract at Stamford Bridge in the summer, but the Blues will not allow their star man to leave on the cheap.

Eden Hazard has been in flying form for Chelsea this season
They have been trying to agree an extension with the 28-year-old, but have so far failed to tie him down to a new deal.

Hazard is a long-term target for Real Madrid and his desire to play for the Spanish giants is no secret, with the player repeatedly talking up a potential move.

And, according to the Daily Telegraph, Chelsea have already made plans in case Hazard asks to join Real and will demand no less than £100m for his signature.

Christian Pulisic signed for Chelsea earlier in January, but will not join his new club until the end of the season
Chelsea prompted reports that they were planning for Hazard’s exit when they secured the signing of Christian Pulisic from Borussia Dortmind for £58m earlier this month.
But the American is seen as one for the future, rather than a readymade replacement for the Belgian, and Chelsea insist world-class Hazard is worth at least double that fee.
That being the case, Real will have to stump up a nine-figure sum, despite Hazard being a year away from free agency. Christian Pulisic’s contract at Borussia Dortmund was due to expire at the same time and it cost Chelsea £58million to secure his services this month, while the Blues are unwilling to accept £35million from Bayern Munich for Callum Hudson-Odoi, who is yet to start at Premier League game. Willian’s deal is also up in 2020 and Barcelona were reported last week to have been told that a £50million package would not be enough to lure the Brazilian from Stamford Bridge, so Hazard’s price is hardly surprising.
