Arsenal ready to make bid for Leeds star, Chelsea 'agree' deal

We are almost halfway through the January transfer window, with plenty of deals still to be completed.

In London, Tottenham became the first club since the transfer window system was implemented in 2003 to not make a summer signing this year, so they will be hoping to do some business this month.

Mousa Dembele is on his way to China after flying out to Hong Kong . Will that deal go through, and if so, will Mauricio Pochettino's side replace him?

Elsewhere, West Ham must nervously wait to see what happens with Marko Arnautovic after the Austrian's agent said the forward wants to leave.
The striker is the subject of a £35m bid from an unnamed Chinese club, but will he stay in east London after appearing to wave goodbye during the 1-0 win over Arsenal?

And speaking of the Gunners, they continue to be linked with various midfielders, with Barcelona's Denis Suarez and Sevilla's Ever Banega reported to be of interest, but they may also need to strengthen at centre back. Unai Emery has already declared that the north Londoners can only complete loan deals, so it could be a tricky task to sign their targets.

Will Ruben Loftus-Cheek remain a Chelsea player or seal a loan move away? And what of Aaron Ramsey's Arsenal future? Will the Welshman agree a deal with Juventus for the summer or move this month?

Here we'll guide you through the day's top transfer rumours from around the world.
Arsenal ready to make bid for Leeds winger

According to Football Insider, Arsenal are preparing to make a formal bid for Leeds United winger Jack Clarke.

The 18-year-old has impressed under Marcelo Bielsa and attracted attention from the likes of Tottenham, Liverpool and Manchester City.

But the report claims Arsenal are ready to take advantage of the player’s contract situation and make an offer.

Leeds are reportedly not prepared to discuss talks over a new deal until the end of the season at the earliest.
