Real Madrid have made contact with Sadio Mane over a move this summer

Zinedine Zidane is a keen admirer of the 27-year-old Liverpool attacker
Despite three years left on his deal, Madrid feel they can land him for £140m
Real Madrid have told Sadio Mane's representatives they are looking to sign the Senegalese star this summer as Los Blancos plot big moves when the transfer window opens.

Madrid have identified the coming window as an opportunity to strengthen with boss Zinedine Zidane unhappy with the options at his disposal at the Bernebeu.

PSG star Kylian Mbappe has been a long term target and Erling Haaland's rise onto the European scene has caught the eye of the Spanish giants, but the 13-time continental champions are making their move for Liverpool star Mane.

According to The Mirror, Madrid have made contact with the attacker's representatives over a potential move this summer, with his performances at Anfield earning huge admiration from the Spanish club's hierarchy.
Zidane had reportedly been keen on landing Mane a couple of seasons ago, but his exit from Real Madrid halted any deal between the two clubs from happening.

Mane has three years remaining on his current deal, but Madrid are confident they can prise the star from Jurgen Klopp's side for a cool price of £140million.

That fee would shatter the club's current transfer record of £88million, which they paid Chelsea last summer to sign Eden Hazard.

The Belgium star has endured a rocky season at the Bernebeu, with injuries and inconsistency blighting the talented winger.

Mane has enjoyed arguably his best season in professional football with the Reds this campaign. The 27-year-old has scored 18 goals and provided 12 assists in 38 outings for Klopp's men.
