Having received the green light to go ahead with the project, Real Madrid are expected to begin the transformation of their famous ground this summer.
Some of the major features of the redevelopment plan includes removed offices out of the stadium to free up 8000 square meters of space, the private boxes in the ground will get a significant facelift, while the outside of the stadium will be changed radically.
Elsewhere, the current parking lot at the ground is set to be transformed into a public square for fans to mingle in.
In total, the redevelopment of the Bernabeu is expected to take 39 months.
The design plans
The cost of the project is set to be around 300-400 million euros.
