Last month, he couldn’t even get into the Manchester United matchday squad; now, he looks like being the first name on the team sheet.
The Armenian emphatically announced himself as a United player with his golazo against Zorya Luhansk last night, and looks certain to start against Spurs on Sunday.
Adapting to the Premier League
The theory surrounding Mkhitaryan’s marginalization from the team was that he wasn’t quite ready for the rough and tumble of the Premier League.
Well, that’s what Jose Mourinho claimed anyway.
