Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and fans immediate reaction to Gabriel Martinelli's Arsenal goal

Martinelli struck Arsenal's first equaliser in an entertaining 2-2 draw with Chelsea on Tuesday after his side had been reduced to 10 men, prompting a quick response from Aubameyang

Gabriel Martinelli's latest strike for Arsenal brought an immediate reaction from fellow Gunners forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang .

The Brazilian youngster has been finding the back of the net on a regular basis in his first season at the club, and added another to his tally against Chelsea on Tuesday.

The youngster has been impressive in front of goal this season

With Arsenal a goal down at Stamford Bridge, Martinelli spearheaded a quick counter attack, racing downfield from inside his own half.

Helped by an ill-timed slip from Chelsea's N'golo Kante, the 18-year-old was given a clear route to goal, before slotting the ball calmly past Blues keeper Kepa Arrizabalaga to score.

It was Martinelli's 10th goal of the season in all competitions, leaving him with a scoring ratio of almost one every two games.

Aubameyang was absent for the clash due to suspension, but was clearly impressed by his teammate's solo effort.
Taking to Twitter immediately after Martinelli had netted, Aubameyang posted just a solitary eyes emoji.

Martinelli has been one of the Gunners surprise packages this season, with his summer arrival largely overshadowed by Nicolas Pepe's £70million transfer.

Arsenal had found themselves behind and a man down after less than half hour, following David Luiz's sending off, which led to Jorginho giving Chelsea the lead from the penalty spot.

Cesar Azpilicueta's goal with just six minutes of normal time remaining looked to have sealed all three points for the hosts, but ten-men Arsenal were not quite finished.

With the clock ticking down, Hector Bellerin struck a low left-footed effort into the far corner past Kepa's outstretched arm to rescue a point for his side.

Fortunately for Arsenal it will be the last Premier League match without the services of Aubayemeyang, whose ban will be completely served after Monday's FA Cup tie with Bournemouth .

The Gabonese striker will be eligible for Arsenal's next league fixture against Burnley on February 2.
