Manchester United's top four hopes took another huge hit as they were held to a 0-0 draw by Crystal Palace at Old Trafford.
Both teams had the ball in the net during the match but the celebrations of both Cheikhou Kouyate and Romelu Lukaku were rightly cut short by the offside flag either half of half time.
United began the first half brightly but faded badly after the 15-minute mark and weren't in their stride for the remainder of the match.
Marouane Fellaini was a second-half substitute for United but was lucky to avoid a red card for a nasty challenge on Luka Milivojevic, who was also perhaps fortunate not to be dismissed in the opening period for a scything challenge on Jesse Lingard.
United's awful day was capped by a groin injury picked up by Victor Lindelof in injury time.
