Lampard’s men produced the biggest shock of the midweek fixtures, after an emphatic victory at The Hawthorns between two real promotion contenders.
But when asked about his team’s performance, Lampard, surprisingly, was quick to criticise his side’s performance, in a result which pushes them up to fifth place in the Championship table.
“I wasn’t completely pleased with the performance, there are elements that could have been better”, Lampard said.
“It’s important that we stay level-headed”, he added.
The Rams will be looking to defy the odds and extend their winning run away at another promotion rival in Middlesbrough on Saturday afternoon.
Nevertheless, it was an amazing win and a fantastic performance from Derby, and if Lampard think they can get better, then so be it.
