Manchester City's players have made the most of a day off after the Wolves game at the weekend, with Gabriel Jesus and Benjamin Mendy photographed on beaches taking in the sun. They are back in Manchester now, however, as City's attentions turn to Newcastle.
One distraction is the reports linking Raheem Sterling with Spanish giants Real Madrid, who are reportedly stepping up their interest in the England winger. It is claimed by Sky Sports that Madrid will watch Sterling in next month's Nations League fixture with Spain, and continue to monitor his performances throughout the autumn.
Sterling is said to be stalling on a new contract and his current deal will have 18 months left in the January transfer window
Also, Douglas Luiz has been linked with a move away, with Celtic, Benfica and Fenerbache all mentioned in reports. Luiz needs to move out on loan this season after a work permit was denied.
