Arsenal have been to see Granit Xhaka play a staggering THIRTY times this season as they look to make a major midfield signing this summer.
The Gunners' boss Arsene Wenger has sent his scouts to make weekly checks on Borussia Monchengladbach star Xhaka and they are lining up a £30million move.
But Wenger is also eyeing Real Madrid’s Germany international midfielder Toni Kroos and they have made enquiries about his potential availability. Southampton powerhouse Victor Wanyama is another on their radar.

Kroos, 26, could be open to a move to English football, while Arsenal have strong links with Real Madrid following the Mesut Ozil transfer two years ago and have asked to be kept informed.
The Gunners are only likely to bring in one major midfield signing and 23-year-old Swiss international Xhaka is the favourite, as Arsenal have made all those scouting trips and also sounded out his club and the player’s representatives.

This news comes days after Wenger left club insiders in no doubt he intends to be at the club next season to see out the remaining year on his contract.

The Frenchman, on course to celebrate a remarkable 20 years in charge this September, has insisted publicly he wants to stay and the Gunners will look to shake up the squad after a disappointing season.
