Arsenal watch transfer target Granit Xhaka THIRTY times this season as they plan £30m midfield swoop
Toni Kroos and Victor Wanyama are also on the Gunners' shopping list for the centre of the park but the 23-year-old Swiss international is the favourite
The Gunners' boss Arsene Wenger has sent his scouts to make weekly checks on Borussia Monchengladbach star Xhaka and they are lining up a £30million move.
But Wenger is also eyeing Real Madrid’s Germany international midfielder Toni Kroos and they have made enquiries about his potential availability. Southampton powerhouse Victor Wanyama is another on their radar.
The Gunners are only likely to bring in one major midfield signing and 23-year-old Swiss international Xhaka is the favourite, as Arsenal have made all those scouting trips and also sounded out his club and the player’s representatives.

This news comes days after Wenger left club insiders in no doubt he intends to be at the club next season to see out the remaining year on his contract.
The Frenchman, on course to celebrate a remarkable 20 years in charge this September, has insisted publicly he wants to stay and the Gunners will look to shake up the squad after a disappointing season.
